Chandrasana (Moon pose)
Chandrasana is derived from Sanskrit words “Chandra” means “Moon” and “asana” means “pose”. It is a much deeper variation than the Half-Moon pose. By doing the pose, you actually pay invocation to the full moon, in the sky.
How To Do It?
⦁ Begin in Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana), or on your hands and knees in Table Pose.
⦁ Bring your right foot between your hands, Extend your left leg behind you so your kneecap and the top of your foot rest on the floor.
⦁ Press through your fingertips. Lengthen the front of your body. Release your tailbone backwards, toward your heels.
⦁ Stretch your right hand over the head and grab the left foot.
⦁ Pull the heart in forward direction.
⦁ Hold for up to one minute. Slowly release the pose, come back to the Downward-Facing Dog pose and repeat with other leg.
Benefits
